Carolyn helps midlife women who are struggling with stubborn weight gain, low energy levels, and unpredictable moods lose body fat, increase their energy reserves, and stabilize their moods so that they feel more like themselves again - only better. Her interest in nutrition began at a very young age, when she was a competitive gymnast. Later in life, her own health struggles with anxiety and chronic fatigue led her to a nutritional M.D. who introduced her to the world of natural healing. She uses this approach in her own practice today - no gimmicks, no quick fixes, no harsh restrictions. Carolyn resides in the beautiful town of Amityville, New York.
As a young adult, I struggled with crippling anxiety, chronic fatigue, weight gain, and persistent skin issues. There were days when I couldn't leave the house due to paralyzing panic attacks. Even getting out of bed became a struggle. Betrayed by a body that had served me so well for so many years as a competitive athlete, I was desperate to find a solution. I felt completely let down by mainstream medicine—no real answers, no root cause…just prescriptions that didn’t help me heal and often made me feel worse.
Frustrated, scared and losing hope, I was introduced to the world of functional medicine that helped me heal in a totally different way. Instead of guessing, I took a deep dive into my lifestyle to uncover what was really going on in my body.
Through targeted nutrition, personalized supplementation, stress management, and education, everything began to shift. I learned how to support my body in a natural, sustainable way—and for the first time in a long time, I wasn’t just surviving… I was thriving.
That foundation has supported me through every stage of life since—especially during midlife. As my hormones began to shift, I was able to navigate the changes with far more ease, avoiding many of the common struggles women are told to “just deal with.” No extremes. No fads. "Post COVID/ post menopause, I “suddenly” found myself twenty-five pounds heavier. My clothes did not fit, and I was not happy about the way I looked or felt. What had worked for me in the past no longer worked. I sought answers from my doctors, but they attributed the weight gain to aging. They had tips but not a plan. I consulted with Carolyn, who did have a plan, and her plan was successful. I did not diet but with her guidance I gradually learned to eat a variety of healthy foods and avoid foods that cause inflammation and simply were not worth the empty calories. When I ate, I made it count. Carolyn also encouraged me to make regular if not daily exercise a priority. She shared her vast knowledge about healthy eating and living, giving me tips, as well as strategies for book club nights and beach club weekends. Over 8 months, I slowly but steadily lost twenty-five pounds and feel so much better. Carolyn was always supportive and encouraging, even on the occasions when I was clearly not following the plan, “be good most of the time,” she would say, which for me, was an achievable goal.

I'm officially down 15 pounds today! I didn't think this was possible!
